Position Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Lincoln Center, San Antonio, TX Position Overview
GoldenTech is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator (IAT Level II) to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Virtual Medical Center (VMC) Front Office IT Team at the Lincoln Center in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role plays a critical part in supporting Virtual Health (VH) operations across 300+ DHA Enterprise sites, ensuring system performance, security compliance, and user support for clinical and technical staff. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site System Administrator, representing the DHA VMC Front Office (FO) IT team in local area meetings.
Monitor, create, and resolve trouble/incident tickets using the Remedy system, ensuring resolution or escalation within three hours of assignment.
Provide Tier II technical support to the Virtual Health Cart Program, including testing, sustainment activities, and end-user training across DHA Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
Offer expert guidance on network and system best practices to the VMC FO IT staff.
Track and enforce approved workflows for the VMED IT Department to ensure local and remote technician adherence.
Maintain VH application servers to enhance system availability, implement required security updates, and address operational issues.
Perform Tier II network administration tasks to support VMC operations effectively.
Manage account creation and resolve issues for Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and ESSENTRIS platforms for VMC clinical staff.
Act as Site Access List (SAL) Manager, delivering access documentation to DHA CHCS PMO for centralized web portal management.
Troubleshoot, repair, and test hardware such as computer workstations, monitors, cameras, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment in Microsoft environments.
Install and configure Windows 11 workstations, related peripherals, and cabling.
Respond to network device and system scans to ensure compliance; make approved system changes when required.
Participate in continuous process improvement efforts, recommending updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Knowledge Base. Qualifications
Certifications (IAT Level II as per DoD 8570.01-M / DoDD 8140.01):
Required prior to start: CompTIA Security+
Preferred: CompTIA A+
Minimum 2-4 years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) service desk, system administration, or telehealth/virtual health programs (preferred).
Familiarity with Remedy ticketing system or similar platforms.
Strong troubleshooting abilities for both hardware and software issues in Microsoft environments.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
