We are seeking a detail-oriented NDIS Operator to support the administration and operation of the National DNA Index System (NDIS). This role involves system monitoring, data management, and technical support in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems administration and a scientific discipline, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure the integrity of sensitive data. Experience with CODIS is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain systems that support NDIS data processing and functionality.
• Perform system monitoring, log reviews, and data integrity checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Assist in the administration of secure systems and applications related to NDIS operations.
• Follow standard operating procedures for data entry, validation, and system updates.
• Support CODIS-related workflows and contribute to system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity in issue reporting and task coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes, activities, and compliance logs.
• Ensure strict adherence to security protocols in a Top Secret-cleared environment.
Required Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a related technical support role.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (B.S. or B.A.).
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with CODIS operations or knowledge of forensic DNA database systems.
• Familiarity with law enforcement or criminal justice information systems.
