Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

Systems Administrator The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including operating system workstations and servers, web servers, and other hardware, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems in support of business processing requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers.

• Performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

• Scheduling installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

• Monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.

• Ensuring workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

• Ensuring data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.

• Developing and promoting standard operating procedures.

• Conducting routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.

• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.

• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other languages.

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

• Excellent communication skills.

• BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA is a plus. Preferred Certifications: o Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate o VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
