Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Rockford, Indiana
Clearance Required: Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Employment Type: Full-Time Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days onsite after 90 days)
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
On-Call Requirement: Must be available for on-call duty every 12th week (minimal, mostly remote support) Position Summary:
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical enterprise IT systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of servers, storage, and applications in a multi-site Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a 24x7x365 infrastructure, be passionate about technology, and thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for workstation, server, and network hardware/software issues.
Plan and implement upgrades for hardware and software systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve reported hardware/software issues across the enterprise.
Administer Microsoft Servers, VMware environments, Horizon, and cloud-based services.
Participate in the redesign and reconfiguration of operating systems and applications.
Collaborate with IT and business users to deliver secure, high-performing technology solutions. Required Education:
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE)
VMware (VCP)
Cisco (CCNA or higher)
EMC or other storage/network certifications Required Experience:
Minimum: 3+ years in information technology or related field.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in complex IT infrastructure management in a 24/7/365 environment, ideally within healthcare. Technical Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency with VMware virtual server environments.
Microsoft technologies: Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, SCCM, SharePoint.
Storage systems: SAN/NAS/FC/iSCSI.
Compute infrastructure: Cisco UCS, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, and cloud-based systems.
Application delivery technologies: VMware Horizon, Zero Clients, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
Networking: Cisco LAN/WAN/Wireless environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Flexible availability for after-hours support and project-based overtime. Additional Information:
On-call rotation required every 12 weeks.
This is a hybrid role: after 90 days, eligible to work from home 3 days per week with 2 days required onsite.
