Description The National Security Sector of Leidos is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Administrator. This role will support the G2 Army MI Enterprise / SENTINEL program, which is crucial for ensuring the secure, reliable, and continuous operation of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. Join our team and play a key role in sustaining mission-critical IT environments and services for the Department of Defense.
Primary Responsibilities: - Install, administer, and maintain both virtual and physical environments including Windows servers, workstations, and laptops across multiple networks.
- Administer Active Directory services and integrated technologies into existing systems, promoting seamless transitions.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware and software issues across applications and system infrastructures.
- Manage projects effectively while documenting progress in the ticketing systems.
- Perform comprehensive system administration for desktop and server systems linked to local and wide area networks.
- Utilize a range of troubleshooting tools, including PowerShell, for resolving system and network problems.
- Implement and oversee disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
- Ensure effective management of network migrations and addressing schemes within Microsoft domains.
- Contribute to project planning and execution, focusing on personnel and hardware requirements.
- Engage in special projects while supporting daily operations.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in systems administration or engineering, or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
- Active DoD 8570 certification at IAT II, CompTIA Security+ CE, or higher.
- Complete the Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient in Windows Server 2019/2022 design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to upgrade Windows Server versions and manage infrastructure solutions in a DoD environment.
- Familiarity with Hyper-V, VMware, SCCM, SMTP, Printer Management, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with Active Directory administration.
- Knowledge of IT equipment hardening techniques and DISA STIG application in a government setting.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with systems and tools such as SCCM, Hyper-V or VMware, IIS, and ACAS.
- Ability to write custom scripts in PowerShell.
- Understanding of help desk ticketing tools like Microsoft System Center, ServiceNow, or Remedy.
- Relevant Microsoft certification in Azure and/or Office 365.
