Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Systems Administrator to support one of our state clients. The job duties include:
Monitor and manage server and application performance, ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
Implement and enforce security configurations and best practices for servers and applications.
Assist in audit preparedness, ensuring servers and systems meet compliance standards and are ready for external audits.
Work closely with the internal team to address and close out any findings from audits.
Perform regular server maintenance to keep systems secure and performing optimally.
Resolve server performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system errors, ensuring minimal downtime.
Regularly review server logs and performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Provide backup support to team members handling other Operations activities, ensuring that all operational needs are met.
Maintain thorough documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices for reference and training purposes.
The target pay rate for this position is between $32-40/hour and is based on experience. The position is remote but high preference for candidates local to Richmond, VA.

Skills and Requirements
- Server Performance Optimization: Proven experience monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting server performance to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Security & Best Practices: Expertise in implementing and enforcing security measures across servers and applications, with a focus on industry standards.
- Audit & Compliance: Experience supporting audit preparedness, addressing audit findings, and implementing corrective actions to ensure systems meet compliance standards.
- Routine Maintenance & Patching: Hands-on experience with routine server maintenance, patching, and applying updates to maintain system security and performance.
- Issue Resolution: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving server-related issues, including hardware, software, and performance problems. null
