Overview
Serve as Regional Advanced Skills Management (ASM) Fleet Support Representative. This position is responsible to train site personnel, initiate, investigate, resolve, and close ASM Remedy trouble tickets. Perform IT system maintenance and daily on-site operation support on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. - Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.

- Provide regional ASM support and training (small-group or one-on-one) to Fleet Users of ASM.
- Assist in the training of new Fleet User personnel, including new personnel assigned to named billets (Unit Administrator, etc.) at all levels of ASM use.
- Train System Administrators on system security and fleet personnel on new releases or updates.
- Provide ASM user problem resolution.
- Assist in the implementation of new system, patches or other on-site upgrades, as well as the stand-up of new user groups. Provide input on future updates to ASM software.
- Work closely with units to help ensure ASM meets any unique user data requirements.
- Prepare and accomplish data transfers to support unit deployments and return from deployment.
- Provide expert user support to application developers on Fleet needs and assist Fleet users in articulating Fleet user needs and recommendations.
- Participate in technical forums to provide input to AMTCS/CBTSI software development teams, software deployment teams, managers and decision-makers.
- Assist in the evaluation of new ASM software developmental versions and software updates/fixes.
- Provide feedback and input to the Life Cycle Support Group regarding ASM documentation.
- Participate in site representative and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and periodic phone-cons to exchange ASM ideas, observations, and information.
- Provide backup support to FSR Team
- Keep Program Lead appraised of project execution issues
- Initiate and close out Remedy Tickets
- Provide monthly status reports ( 100% report, training event counts)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must possess an extensive background in Naval Aviation Maintenance Procedures (NAMP) and Computerized Self Evaluation Program (CSEC).
- Provide Senior Leadership at the Marine Air Wing (ALD) with briefs on status and health of ASM within the Marine Air Wing.
- Assist the Training Enlisted Command (TECOM) with ASM issues associated to development and Fleet ASM requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related work experience
- 10 or more years of Navy or Marine Corps aviation experience serving in a maintenance role.
- 10 or more years' experience working with ASM & Remedy
- Ability to shift priorities and demands and timelines while still meeting all expectations and deadlines.
- Strong organization skills, good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
