JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is pleased to offer an opportunity to join our growing company as a Systems Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to contribute to a collaborative and innovative team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Systems Administrator to assess and document existing IT environments. The primary responsibility will be to map out network infrastructure and applications, identify dependencies, and produce comprehensive documentation of findings. This role requires strong technical expertise in network architecture, system administration, and documentation best practices. Below are the detailed requirements and responsibilities for this position:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough analysis of current network infrastructure and application landscape.
Map out system configurations, dependencies, and integration points.
Document findings in a clear and structured manner for future reference.
Collaborate with IT teams to validate and refine documentation accuracy.
Recommend improvements based on observed inefficiencies or gaps in existing systems.
Complete assigned business initiatives and projects as requested and in accordance with established timeframes.
Administer IT infrastructure including Active Directory user accounts and security/distribution groups; Windows File Servers; Backups; Disaster Recovery; Virtual Server Infrastructure; Network LAN & WAN; Telecom Infrastructure; Printers; Applications.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of network architecture, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
Ability to analyze complex systems and present information in a structured format.
Ability to carry out tasks, follow procedures and routines, work with ideas, think extensively and find solutions to hands-on problems.
Extensive network knowledge and connectivity troubleshooting experience (TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS)
Some light travel (5%) may be required for IT administration at remote locations.
Experience with the following systems is preferred but not required: Microsoft SQL; ARCGIS; Microsoft SCCM/WSUS; Sharepoint; Cyberark; Scale; Cyolo; SCADA; OT
Job Profile Summary
Performs complex problem management and configuration management related to IT infrastructure and support. May provide consultative support to less experienced staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with other subject matter experts to assist and recommend strategy for core technologies
• Manage complex problems which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem
• Responsible for solving highly technical problems on multiple projects and providing consultative support to internal staff. May act as mentor to less experienced employees
• Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
• Mentor staff members during problem resolution and root cause analysis to increase their efficiency and knowledge
• Create and review documentation relating to the architecture, configuration and maintenance of infrastructure technologies
• Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies
• Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies as an assigned subject matter expert
• Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change controls
• Collaborate with other IT personnel on technology and support issues, providing proactive and timely communication
• Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Maintains subject matter expertise in technology infrastructure, equipment and systems including information security and governance Education
• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or an equivalent combination of the following formal education and job-related experience. The level of knowledge needed for this position is typically obtained with ten plus years of experience in a discipline relevant to core IT architecture. Work Experience
