The mission of the Lone Wolf program is to support, operate, and maintain the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Enterprise Services (DCIN-TS ES) which is a DoD-provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data, global communications network that facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and key staff. Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Systems Administrator, Staff include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee the functionality and performance of a network operations center that supports IT infrastructure across various locations
Create, track, update and oversee policies and standards for the allocation of IT and computing resources, while ensuring the integrity and security of the network infrastructure - Diagnose and solve customer issues, manage customer accounts, establish, and repair customer accounts, and find ways to improve support procedures.
- Offer comprehensive support to end-users by addressing their inquiries and troubleshooting issues through multiple channels, including email, phone calls, and remote assistance, ensuring timely and effective solutions
- Address requests and manage tracking, documentation, and reporting of network systems and hardware accountability, as well as overs the proper destruction of materials
- Leverage various tools and utilities to deliver remote technical support for desk-side equipment, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently from a distance
- Keep detailed records of incidents and escalate issues to the appropriate support level, following established policies and procedures
- Regularly apply patches and perform maintenance on servers, workstations, storage area networks, and other critical infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and security
- Implement and distribute software across systems using technologies like MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), ensuring efficient and automated deployment processes
- Perform remote imaging and configuration tasks for systems that are in different geographic areas, ensuring seamless integration and management across dispersed locations
- Offer guidance and training to end-users, while also advising and updating senior leadership with relevant information
- Stay informed and enhance knowledge of the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in relevant technologies as assigned, ensuring expertise is current and applicable to the organization's needs
- Contribute to and actively engage in special projects as needed, providing support and expertise to ensure their successful execution and alignment with organizational goals
