Our National Security Team supports the Intelligence Community by providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. AT&T has an opening for a System Administrator to support a key program in AT&T's National Security business segment. The System Administrator will provide expert knowledge of system and network management for 250+ personnel supporting a large-scale enterprise network implementation and ongoing architectural network operations. This position will work closely with program team members and program leadership to ensure the program requirements are met or exceeded within existing timeframes. Foster collaboration of ideas related to emerging technology, and continuously evolving system and network approach that increases availability, resiliency, security, and ease of maintenance through simplification and automation using best in class network technology, tools, and processes. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: Support the administration of but not limited to VMware, VCenter 7, and VMware Horizon 8, Windows virtual servers, Windows 11 VDI workstations, VDI clients, file and print servers, shared folders, MS Exchange, analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies, and ensuring optimal user experience.
Manage VMWare, VCenter 7, and VMWare Horizon 8 infrastructure.
Maintain and troubleshoot Windows 2019 virtual servers (Microsoft Server, SQL, File & Print & Exchange).
Maintain and troubleshoot Windows 11 desktops and VDI clients.
Install, configure, and maintain user thin clients.
Maintain RSA Multi-Factor Authentication Manager and support user management.
Maintain and configure Cisco Routers and Switches in support of data and voice networks.
Maintain and update the desktop master image (Gold Image).
Upgrade and troubleshoot user account configuration, management, and provisioning.
Test and deploy software, patches, and firmware updates.
Monitor, manage, and provision program (or contract) shared folders.
Support new user account creation and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Support network and desktop (VDI) stability and efficiency.
Provide technical support to staff via helpdesk and phone and in-person.
Support end-user applications (e.g., Office 2021, Visio, Project, Adobe Acrobat).
Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
Provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment.
Manage the daily activities of system configuration and operation, perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure the functionality of system links.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, system, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Applying operating system (OS) patches for Windows servers; configuring/adding new services as necessary; and performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource, optimization as required.
Manage frequent and regular (at least daily) backup operations, ensuring that all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to appropriate media, plus creating recovery tapes or disks as necessary; performing regular file archive and purge as necessary. Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (/sci) Required Qualifications: Candidates must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. (NOTE: This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years). Must comply with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 and the following: Minimum six years of Systems\Network administrator with hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows 11, and Exchange 2019.
Prior experience with server, desktop, and printer hardware to include but not limited to: Dell\HP Servers, Dell\HP Desktops, and Printers.
Experience in deploying and managing desktop imaging software.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting the following: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Cisco Switches and Routers, and Firewalls.
Familiar with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practices; Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACP) compliance with Retina, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and information assurance vulnerability alert (IAVA) patch management.
Experience with IT security practices, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scanning and STIG deployment. Must be able to process and analyze information and trouble calls submitted by a customer (e.g., system administrator, developer, security specialist), make determinations, provide, and implement solutions.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks.
Strong writing skills required for preparing documentation and other technical deliverables.
