Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator:
  • Install and configure server hardware and software.
  • Manage Windows and Linux servers and technology tools.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified through monitoring tools.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Maintain security through access controls, backups, firewalls, etc.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models as necessary.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and policies.
Required Skills for the Systems Administrator:
  • 7+ years' experience supporting network and logical structures
  • 7+ years' experience with the following: Linux OS, Windows OS, and MS Teams
