Our work depends on a Senior System Administrator joining our Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program in Arlington, VA. The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program support contract provides knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity
IT services to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). Our services include program management, enterprise performance management, enterprise architecture, implementation of emerging capabilities and requirements, life cycle management, operations & maintenance, enterprise data management, service desk support and IT training. HOW OUR SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, mobile devices, and printers
Create, manage, and organize user accounts, as well as configure group memberships for access control
Manage system performance, monitor system logs, and ensure uptime and reliability
Implement, maintain, and enforce system security by applying STIGs, patching, and vulnerability mitigation techniques
Perform system updates and upgrades, including system, hardware, and software patching and firmware updates
Monitor network, server, mobile devices, and printer performance to proactively address potential issues
Work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain IT solutions
Automate system administrative tasks using scripting, such as PowerShell
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures
Mentor, train, and guide team members and IT support staff WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance
Required Experience: 6 years of experience in a client-server environment.
4 years of concurrent experience in server systems administration and analysis.
Strong knowledge of physical and virtual Window Servers, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Cloud, Active Directory, MS Entra ID, MS Teams, Exchange Online, MS Intune, Server Certificates, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with enterprise servers, workstations, and printers.
Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service frameworks.
Required Certifications: Intermediate level industry certification from one of the following: Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, or relevant technology. CompTIA Security+ CE required.

Education: BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related IT discipline. Allowable substitution: 6 years of additional related experience without a Degree or 4 years of additional related experience with an AA/AS degree.
