The main function of Lab IT is to handle overall IT-related (including network) work at the Lab.
Primary responsibilities include maintenance and management of IT and resolving employees' IT issues. Another main role is supporting all IT-related tasks for VIPs and visitors.
While supporting onsite staff in the office, the employee will also be responsible for the MNOs Lab department's IT maintenance (currently 5 locations).
Assist in asset maintenance, keep track of status/updates, support in procurement, resolve vulnerability issues, etc. Additionally, must be able to create informative, detailed, and accurate reports using Microsoft Office when HQ/upper mgmt requests data.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist department employees with PC hardware/software issues. (Repair, Replacements, Upgrades)
• Assist HQ VIP/visitor with PC hardware/software issues. (Repair, Replacements, Upgrades)
• Network Support Management.
• Linux-based server management/troubleshooting
• PC asset management/documentation
• PC/System Vulnerability check/report/resolve
• Summary & report creation/maintenance including but not limited to AMRS, IRP, HQ, MNO
• Printer troubleshooting and support
Skills:
• Extensive Windows OS knowledge
• Experience with Linux OS (Ubuntu preferred)
• Ability to assemble, maintain, and perform minor repairs on computer equipment and peripherals
• Basic ability and knowledge for troubleshooting network issues.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
• Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required (computer science and engineering)
• 2 3 years of experience required
