Atlantic Health System is seeking an accomplished and visionary System Medical Director of Women's Services to lead the strategic development and growth of our Women's Services Service Line. This physician leader will be responsible for driving the implementation of system-wide initiatives that enhance quality, innovation, and personalized care while advancing the mission of building healthier communities. The role includes an expectation to remain clinically active to maintain a high level of clinical credibility across the system. Additionally, the System Medical Director of Women's Services will support recruitment in many subspecialties related to women's health, including but not limited to OB/GYN, Laborists, MFM, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive the strategic vision for Women's Services across Atlantic Health System in collaboration with system hospital Chairs, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals in quality, performance, growth, population health, research, and education.
  • Market Analysis & Growth: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying key opportunities and mitigating risks to strengthen program offerings and market share.
  • Collaboration & Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with hospital leaders, ambulatory sites, medical groups, and system-wide providers to enhance service integration and care delivery.
  • Clinical Excellence & Innovation: Support the organization's mission by advancing high-quality, patient-centered, and innovative care models that improve health outcomes for women across all stages of life.
Qualifications
  • Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Proven leadership in clinical program development, strategic planning, and physician engagement, with a strong commitment to advancing women's healthcare and enhancing the clinical experience across the full spectrum of women's services.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and drive programmatic growth
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Track record of physician leadership with progressive leadership experience in a large, highly-matrixed healthcare system, preferably with mature service lines
  • High degree of technical proficiency with EMR/EHR, e-prescribing, telehealth, and other electronic medical systems desirable
  • Experience and familiarity with alternative reimbursement models including shared savings plans and accountable care organizations
  • Experience in establishing and/or overseeing residency or other training program
  • Desirable, well-respected and connected leader with strong regional and/or national reputation
  • Business degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • All candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
