System Engineer with Security Clearance

TEKsystems is seeking a System Engineer to support a local healthcare client on Oahu. The ideal candidate would have enterprise back up administration experience, VMware, and Linux. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity.

• Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with infrastructure hardware and datacenter software.

• Supports and assists the IT Department in the development of sound practices and solutions for infrastructure issues.

• Serves as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure related issues.

• Collects data from performance and uptime monitoring tools.

• Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, application software and system management tools.

• Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. Skills Needed: - Enterprise backup administration (Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, etc.,)

- Linux/ Red Hat Linux Schedule/Shift:
Start off fully on-site, then transition to hybrid schedule. Rotational on-call every 3-4 weeks for 1 week - during on-call weeks, employee will work on-site 5/week. Benefits:
