We're seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in software integration and testing to join a global leader in cancer diagnostics and medical device innovation. This is a chance to work on impactful healthcare solutions within a regulated, research-driven environment.
Location: Onsite - Tucson, AZ (Local candidates preferred)
Duration: 8-month contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: $40-50/hr. (W2)

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and support software integration and testing in the product development lifecycle
- Define software system requirements, architecture, and validation strategies
- Analyze industry trends and apply innovative solutions to improve diagnostics systems
- Collaborate across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams
- Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and IVD regulatory standards
- Support risk analysis, configuration management, and defect tracking using internal tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or related technical field
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on software testing
- Strong understanding of systems lifecycle, V&V, and regulated environments
- Experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare tech preferred
- Tools experience as RETINA, LucidSpark, or LucidChart is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills
