Job Description
The System Engineer II will plan, design, and deploy large-scale complex systems that may involve both hardware and software components. The role includes evaluating existing systems, recommending improvements, and implementing enterprise infrastructure and system integration solutions. This position requires the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and oversee layout design, installation, and modifications of systems.
Project Scope
This role is specifically responsible for Cisco administration and programming of telephone extensions, voicemail, national sick lines, and hunt groups. The core project involves migrating from Avaya Communication Manager to Cisco CUCM and Webex Calling. The work will be performed after business hours in accordance with the facility's time zone. The project team includes a project manager and two engineers.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5 - 7 years of experience in systems engineering and administration.
- Proficiency in planning and deploying enterprise systems and infrastructure.
- Experience with system integration and identifying system deficiencies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM and Webex Calling.
- Knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage after-hours migrations.
- Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical teams.
