Where you'll work: This is an onsite opportunity where you will report to the customer's location in Port Hueneme, CA.
An average day: As Systems Analyst/Engineer III you will drive the end to end design, development, and maintenance of high impact IT solutions. This position involves coordinating cross disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing strategic guidance for enterprise wide projects. In this position you will:
- Lead comprehensive design and implementation of complex IT systems, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Guide requirements analysis, feasibility studies, and solution architecture for large scale development initiatives.
- Oversee testing and quality assurance processes to ensure consistent system performance and reliability.
- Coordinate with database and security specialists to integrate secure, compliant backend solutions.
- Provide oversight for data analytics projects, including AI/ML and other advanced analytics.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and potential risks, modifying plans in response to stakeholder needs.
- Ensure thorough documentation of configurations, source code, and QA artifacts, in line with best practices.
- Continuously refine system architectures to optimize security, resource usage, and scalability.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, fostering communication and consensus on project goals.
- Enforce compliance with relevant portfolio management processes, monitoring system authorizations.
- Manage product roadmaps and evaluate feature requests, maintaining alignment with user needs and objectives.
- Recommend and pilot new technology solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Offer guidance on cloud adoption, ensuring robust security and cost effectiveness.
- Review and reinforce RMF, STIG, and other security controls, addressing any identified gaps.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project outcomes, risks, and opportunities
Basic Qualifications: - As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; in lieu of a degree, an additional 5 years of high level systems engineering experience may be substituted.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, designing and delivering complex enterprise level solutions.
- Expertise in complex software development methodologies, integrating front end, middleware, and database components.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization technologies, and advanced data analytics frameworks.
- IAT Level II certification meeting DoD 8570 standards.
- Operating System certification relevant to the specific environment being supported.
- Strong knowledge of security standards, particularly those for regulated environments.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams in delivering large scale IT initiatives on time and within budget.
- Advanced problem solving skills for evaluating new technologies and driving innovative solutions.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Other: - Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
- May be required to perform duties outside of standard hours of operation in order to support mission requirements, including planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades.
