As a Systems Administrator at Antithesis you will: As an Systems Administrator, you will collaborate closely with both the engineering and operations teams to plan, coordinate, and oversee all computer and IT-related activities within the Company. You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of corporate assets. Specifically, the smooth operation of our company-wide custom Linux and its integration with our internal tools and infrastructure. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related troubleshooting and support for the Company.
In this dynamic role, you may also be called upon to assist with tasks outside your standard responsibilities, as our early-stage company operates with a flexible approach to task division.
Job Description: - Setting up and configuring NixOS (desktop and laptop) machines.
- Adding automated regression tests within a VM to test our setup more.
- Cleaning up our custom NixOS module to make it easier for engineers to extend with their own settings.
- Improving internal docs to help people get going more on their own system config.
- Debug all kinds of linux desktop issues. (e.g. graphics drivers not working, zfs pools dying, laptops overheating.)
- Manage the build server.
- Manage assets
- Order hardware for the office and new employees.
- Track all company owned fixed assets in the office and anything that is used outside of the office (e.g. know exactly where company owned laptops etc. are/who uses them, whether they are returned, etc.).
- Own the "Zoom Rooms" in-office conferencing system. This includes setup and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist specialized contractors for office networking.
- All other IT related things around the office.
