Akkodis seeks a System Administrator in 30434, Louisville, Georgia The ideal candidate will have experience in working in Windows-based infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.
Assignment length: 3+ months, possible to convert
Pay Range: $54- $58/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
As a System Administrator, you will provide advanced support for hosted systems, lead escalations, and serve as the subject matter expert for customer environments. You'll ensure the stability, security, and scalability of Windows-based infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Wintel support for hosted systems, including Windows Server 2012+/Windows 10+ OS administration.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for engineers and projects.
- Act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for customer environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including backend infrastructure maintenance.
- Lead M365 migrations, tenant administration, and Microsoft Intune (AutoPilot) deployments.
- Administer Azure AD, MFA, Single Sign-On (SSO), and hybrid identity solutions.
- Perform server builds, application deployments, and patch management (via SCCM, BigFix, etc.).
- Remediate vulnerabilities and support audit compliance for server/workstation environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, outages, and complex issues.
- Conduct proactive maintenance and optimize processes for system performance.
- Script automation using PowerShell for infrastructure management.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical support.
Required Skills & Experience
Expertise in:
- Windows Server 2016+/Windows 10+ administration.
- Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure administration.
- VMware/virtualization (certification preferred but not required).
- Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and multi-tier application support.
Proficiency in:
- PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, TLS, SSL).
- Hypervisor/ESXi server builds and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills for cross-functional issue resolution.
- ITIL v3/v4 framework experience (change management, SLAs).
- Customer-focused mindset with ownership and urgency.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Azure Foundations, M365, CCNA, or VMware.
- Linux administration experience.
- Tool familiarity: SCCM, WDS, WVD, iBoss, Netskope, CrowdStrike, IIS, BigFix, ServiceNow, Zabbix.
