Position Summary

The ideal candidate for the System Administrator I position is someone who works well within a team environment but is also capable of working independently, while growing their career in IT. This role will have the opportunity add value in the operation and maintenance of various IT technologies including Linux and Windows operating systems, VMWare, Storage and Backups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

Administers Windows systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance, and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.

With the rest of the systems administration team, manage the enterprise lifecycle from implementation to deployment, security enhancements, upgrades as well as capacity management.

Configure, deploy, and administer Windows-based environments.

Test, troubleshoot and work independently to resolve issues.

Develop and update documentation for maintenance, processes, and technical guides.
