The
IT Systems Administrator will help support our organization and assist with protecting our critical information systems. The position champions implementing new technology and providing optimal solutions that will help support the organization. The System Administrator coaches staff providing guidance in the use and support of our Helpdesk, and Microsoft tool stack, which includes the traditional office application as well as Office 365. An ideal candidate needs to have strong communication skills as they will collaborate with the Director of infrastructure and Security, IT management, and business leaders implementing technology to support the organization's overall operations. Also, strong working technical skills - MS SQL server, SSRS, SSIS data integration, report design and coding needed.
This is a hybrid role; primarily remote, standard Monday through Friday business hours with virtual meetings and in-office requirements as needed (up to one to two times a month). There may also be occasional travel to the client homes/offices within Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Connecticut to implement different systems.
Some Essential Functions: - Assist with Installing new Server Operating Systems
- Maintain and monitor production servers
- Set up user accounts
- Regulate and monitor file access to ensure proper security
- Plan and build Exchange environment including migration and upgrades
- Perform installations of VMware and administer VMware server environment
- Manage Microsoft Office 365 including maintaining Teams environment, User Accounts, Azure and O365 account and mailboxes
- Manage network firewall and remote sites
- Maintain ShoreTel VOIP communications and shore gear switches at all locations
- Maintain needed files by adding deleting or restoring files on the network servers
- Backup files using Veam to safeguard organization information in the event of network problems
- Assist with upgrade and support Cisco switches and routers
- Apply or assist all routine updates and upgrades for any of the above systems (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, VMware, WatchGuard, ShoreTel)
- Support and maintain WAN with 1000+ users and 150+ locations across three states
Minimum Qualifications: - Associates degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent work experience (minimum 2-4 years in the field).
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of network administration experience (preferably for a small to medium-sized organization)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft server architecture.
- Working knowledge of Dell server hardward and software.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2019, Microsoft O365 and Teams highly preferred.
- Experience with Apple DEP and IOS devices.
- Experience with or knowledge of scripting languages and operating systems; enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, virtualization, networking.
- Experience with imaging, deploying, and maintaining Laptop/Desktops.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to identify and resolve network security and problems.
