Role: System Administrator 6 Duration: 36 months Location: NYC, NY Pay Rate: $63 W2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Critical Infrastructure support initiative entails the design, installation, customization, testing, and implementation of several enhancements to the Agency's Network, and Data Center infrastructure environments. These infrastructure related updates are crucial for the efficient maintenance and functioning of the network infrastructure, supporting the Network related security controls such as Switches, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Proxy servers, etc., as well as its security components in the Data Center, Remote sites, as well as external entities (OTI, NYS, etc.)
Tasks & Duties: - Design, Support VM and Client Blade Servers infrastructure
- Develops and support the general design of solutions that meet general system best practice requirements. Develops specifications for systems, hardware, and Virtual network configurations. Works with ITS staff (e.g., managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan robust virtual infrastructure and implementation, enhancements and changes.
- Tests different VMware virtual machines and Client Blade servers' platforms and systems integrates system modules. Develops, implements, and monitors information technology, quality assurance standards, follows and maintains best practices.
- Performs day to day server provisioning, performance analysis, compatibility matrix between different hardware generations and different version of hypervisors.
- Develop System Documentation
- Develops operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
- Develops detailed systems operations designs.
- Develops guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of Hardware Infrastructure, operating systems software, Hypervisor, network systems software, security and client server systems.
- Designs reports, audit trails/logs, performance matrix and charts.
Required Skills: - Minimum 4 Years Latest Citrix Certification (either CCA or CCEA).
- Minimum 4 Years Scripting/PowerShell development.
- Minimum 4 Years Windows Server installation and support.
- Minimum 4 Years XenServer installation and support.
- Minimum 4 Years XenDesktop installation and support.
- Minimum 4 Years VMware vSphere.
- Minimum 4 Years Configuring Client Server Hardware.
Desired Skills: - 2 Years NET development in C and NetApp SAN Management.
- 2 Years VMware VROPS, VMware VRA, Azure Cloud, Hyper-V, AWS Cloud
