As an assistant Swim Coach for The Plateau Club Penguins, you will play an integral role in supporting the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach in creating a supportive team environment for to all members of the Penguins Team. Bring your passion for swimming, teaching and being a positive role model for swimmers. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to lifeguarding during practices, getting in the water to provide assistance during drills and attending all swim meets.
Must be able to work from May 14th through July 30th, 2025.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide quality team workouts as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Coach IN and OUT of the water as needed to assist swimmers in improving their skills.
- Complete swim meet line-ups and entries for swim meets as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Attend ALL swim meets and swim team social events.
- Act as a lifeguard during practices.
- Ensure safety and constant supervision of all swim team participations for the duration of swim practices and swim meets.
- In cooperation with the Aquatics Team and Parent Volunteers: complete set-up of swim meets (including but not limited to: swim meet information, physical set up, computer entries, heat sheets, swim meet operation and posting results)
- Provide quality customer service in a courteous and timely manner.
- Provide accurate information about programs and activities to members.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - Current Swimmingly training
- Completion of Midlakes Team Coaches training
- SafeSport Training
- American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification
- Ability to work from May 14th 2025 through July 30th 2025
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification OR willingness to obtain

COMPENSATION DETAILS: - Offered rate of pay range: $16.66- $17.00per hour
- Eligible for overtime
