About the Role The Company is seeking an SVP for Asset Management to oversee the stewardship of a large and highly regulated affordable real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting national portfolio goals, creating and executing a recapitalization strategy, and supervising a diverse team that includes asset management, capital and design, transaction, and environmental sustainability. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial and physical health of the real estate portfolio, which is integral to the company's mission of providing affordable, program-enriched housing. The SVP will be expected to have a strong background in managing the assets of a large portfolio of affordable housing, with a deep understanding of federal and state housing programs, and a proven track record in data-informed management, strategic planning, and process improvement. Applicants for the SVP position must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' experience in a similar role. The role requires a candidate with superior leadership and managerial skills, the ability to recruit and inspire a high-performing team, and a strong commitment to the values of the organization, including racial equity, diversity, and inclusion. Essential skills include strategic and visionary thinking, strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to bring innovative solutions to complex problems. Experience in environmental sustainability and a working knowledge of major housing financing programs are also highly valued. The SVP will be expected to be politically savvy, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and to be adept at building and managing strategic financial relationships.
