Location: various Salary: market Department: Finance Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Finance Manager Job Overview: The Sustainability Finance Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the companys sustainability goals. This role involves financial modeling, investment analysis in green projects, budgeting for sustainability initiatives, and reporting on financial performance with an emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. The analyst will play a key role in identifying opportunities for sustainable growth and advising on financial planning that supports long-term environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial data and trends with a focus on sustainability investments and initiatives. Prepare financial models to evaluate the viability and impact of sustainability projects. Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets for sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for sustainable practices and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into overall business and financial strategies. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders on the financial performance of sustainability initiatives. Stay informed of developments in sustainable finance, including regulatory changes, market trends, and best practices. Support the preparation of sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting, preferably with a focus on sustainability or ESG factors. Knowledge of sustainable finance principles and practices, including green bonds, ESG investing, and carbon finance. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and perform complex analyses. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in financial modeling software and tools. Commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends and developments in sustainability and finance. Work Environment: This position is primarily office-based, with the possibility of attending conferences and meetings related to sustainability and finance. Physical Requirements: Generally requires the ability to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
