POSITION SUMMARY
Siteworx Survey & Design is a civil engineering and land surveying firm located in Paducah, KY. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to hire a licensed Survey Manager. The ideal candidate must be experienced in all aspects of land surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, and construction staking for both commercial and residential land development projects. The incumbent must be licensed surveyor in the United States. Applicants should have experience in all aspects of land surveying, including, but not limited to, the following: compiling and computing legal descriptions, disposition of title exceptions, preparing and processing subdivision plats, easement plats and as-built surveys, processing topographic surveys, and construction stakeout computations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate with owners, engineers, and contractors to request and provide information concerning plats, plans, and other drawings.
  • Preparing sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions.
  • Research legal and survey records to obtain information about properties.
  • Research applicable codes and standards.
  • Time management and prioritizing tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Meeting deadlines of both City & County Planning Commissions.
  • Interface with clients, utility companies, construction administrators, contractors, and vendors .
  • Supervising and directing work of survey crews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD required and Civil 3D or Carlson a plus.
  • Field survey experience, especially with Robotic Surveying Equipment and GPS.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the principles of effective project management.
  • Capable of representing the company effectively in client relations.
  • Ability to communicate and present information to clientele and the general public.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING
  • Bachelor's degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Active and valid surveyor license.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Active and valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
