Surgical Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring surgeries run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms for surgery
Set up surgical instruments and equipment
Assist the surgical team during procedures
Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgery
Monitor and manage patient vital signs during surgery
Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
Adhere to infection control protocols
Assist with patient transport within the facility

Requirements
Certification as a Surgical Technologist
Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic medical records systems
Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and terminology
Experience working in an operating room (OR) setting
Familiarity with suture techniques and wound closure
Understanding of infection control practices
Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Level I Trauma Center is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $48.00 - $50.03 per hour
