Hospital for Special Surgery and Stamford Hospital have entered into a unique collaboration to create the premier center for advanced orthopedics in New England. The collaboration includes dedicated orthopedics spaces, including: three inpatient operating rooms with related pre-operative and recovery space and 19 inpatient beds in the new Stamford Health hospital tower, with the opportunity for expansion.

HSS is the world's largest academic medical center focused on musculoskeletal health and ranked the hospital for orthopedics according to U.S News & World Report (2015-16). Through this unique alliance, HSS Orthopedics at Stamford Health will expand access to leading clinicians, as well as best practices and protocols developed by HSS over its 153 years of experience.

We are currently seeking experienced Surgical Techs interested in joining this exciting collaboration full time. Come join a team that is dedicated to providing a level of orthopedic ambulatory care unrivaled in Connecticut.

Work schedule: Variable 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Shifts rotate between 7a-5p & 9a-7p. No weekends/holidays/call.

The ideal candidate must have:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Certified Surgical Technologist from NBSTSA required
Minimum of 2 years of working Surgical Technologist experience required in the area of Orthopedics at a hospital/healthcare setting
Maintains current BLS certification required
Ability to communicate effectively with operating room staff, patients, their family members and other health care personnel
