Job Summary:
Interacts with physician's offices in scheduling operative procedures, verifying patient data, and transmitting all data/information to nursing areas. Distributes final schedule to all appropriate areas on a daily basis. Maintains communication within the department, relays messages to appropriate staff.

Completion of 4 Hours of Erlanger Online Education specific to Total Ankle, Hip, and Knee Replacement upon hire (will be assigned by Department Leadership and/or Educator).

Department Position Summary:
The employee works well with people, hospital personnel, patients, families and visitors. Responsible for communication flow within the department, answering the telephone with a friendly attitude, working with physician offices and all hospital departments to schedule patients for surgery and outpatient visits. Verifies the next day surgery schedule and working between departments to place the patients at the correct surgical time. The employee will provide the schedule to departments as needed.
