Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in General Surgery for a locum tenens position in New York. Responsibilities and Duties:


• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments


• Develop and implement diagnosis and treatment plans


• Provide patient education on surgical procedures and post-operative care


• Deliver outpatient clinic care services


• Perform follow-up examinations and care


• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals


• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative management


• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies


• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate


• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records


• Stay updated on the latest advancements in general surgery


• Participate in case discussions and team meetings as needed


• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures


• Manage time efficiently to accommodate patient appointments and treatments


Requirements:


• Active New York state Physician Assistant license


• Certification in General Surgery or related field


• Experience in general surgery, including patient assessment and treatment planning


• Proficiency in outpatient clinic care and follow-up services


• Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
