Key Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures for breast diseases, including lumpectomies, mastectomies, and lymph node dissections.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Educate patients and families on breast cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to academic publications.
- Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in breast surgery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to institutional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in General Surgery.
- Completion of a Breast Surgery Fellowship (SSO-approved preferred).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
