Our current breast surgeon averages 40+ surgeries per month. She does not see benign breast management. In the clinic, our current breast surgeon averages 20-22 patients per day: 3-4 new breast cancer patients per day (1 hour apt) and 4 new (non CA) patients per day (20-min timeslot). Follow up patients (10 min). She has an MA/Surgery Scheduler, Breast Navigator RN/rooms patients and a site supervisor/front office. Tumor board is once per month, 2nd Wednesday at lunch, schedules are blocked. Current breast surgeon does punch biopsies, wires and seeds are referred to the women's imaging department. Follow up appointments are 1 month (after port), 2, 3 & 6 months. If there is a bilateral mastectomy or the patient declines radiation/chemo, she follows up every 18 months. If they complation radiation/chemo treatment she will release after 1 year. Current breast surgeon has clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays. Operates Tuesdays and Thursdays, off on Friday. Lymphedema clinic: Referred to the hospital. There is a rep from Tactile Medical with a lymphedema device that will go to the patient's home after therapy. Plastics: current breast surgeon alternates between two plastic surgeons depending on the patient's needs. Oncology: rotates between three groups. Completes genetic testing counseling - draws blood in office and sends it out
