Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care
Join our dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Troy, NY, where we provide exceptional patient care in our Wound Care and Ostomy clinic. This full-time position offers a collaborative environment and the chance to work alongside skilled Urology and Colorectal surgeons.
Job Responsibilities
- Full-time position with Monday to Friday schedule; no weekends or call.
- Manage both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
- Conduct thorough assessments of ostomy patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for optimal wound management.
- Provide education on ostomy care techniques and prevention of complications.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote healing.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- New York State NP License (or willingness to obtain).
- WOCN Certification (required).
- Experience in wound care and ostomies.
- DEA Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- At least 1 year of NP employment experience in wound care management is preferred.
