Locum General & Trauma Surgery Opportunity - Red Bluff, CaliforniaHospital-Based 24-Hour ED Call May 30 - June 5 Level III Trauma Center
•   Position Overview:We're seeking a General Surgeon with Trauma experience for locum coverage in Red Bluff, CA. This is a hospital-based, 24-hour call position with a focus on emergency department (ED) coverage.
•   Assignment Details:
•   Dates: May 30 - June 5 (end AM of June 5)
•   Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
•   Setting: Hospital-based; Level III Trauma Center
•   Coverage: 100% ED call - no clinic
•   Required: Full General Surgery and Trauma privileges, must perform endoscopy
•   EMR: Cerner
•   Procedures & Case Info:
•   Endoscopy is required (no in-house GI; volume varies - typically 0-2 per week)
•   Trauma Cases: Primarily MVCs, stabbings, shootings, motorcycle/quads/swimming/horse-related injuries
•   Trauma Volume: 800 cases annually
•   Support Structure:
•   On-Call Support Team (nights/weekends/holidays): 1 CRNA, 1 RN, 1 Surgical Tech, 1 Recovery RN
•   Daytime Staffing: 1 CRNA, 1 RN, 1 Surgical Tech (additional scrub tech may assist as needed)
•   Note: Surgical assistants are not provided
•   Qualifications:
•   Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3-5 years of residency)
•   Active California medical license
•   Current DEA
•   ATLS required (can accept past certification if previously held)
•   Clean malpractice history highly preferred
