This role involves managing ED consults, inpatientrequests, and surgical procedures related to head and spine trauma.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24-hour coverage with a 30-minute response time.
  • Evaluate and treat ED and inpatient consults.
  • Round on all service patients.
  • Perform urgent neurosurgical procedures-dedicated OR available.
  • Work alongside an APP team (available from 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM daily).
  • No elective case responsibilities; a clinic is available for follow-up care.
Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
  • Fellowship training in trauma or demonstrated trauma experience required.
  • Active South Dakota license (clean file preferred).
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
