Overview Orthopaedic Oncology Surgeon Faculty - Creighton University - CHI
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Creighton University School of Medicine, in partnership with CHI Health and Creighton University Medical Center seeks an academic orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Oncologic Surgery to join our expanding clinic practice in Omaha, NE.
The busy Orthopaedic surgeon will be expected to collaborate with our integrated Oncology Service Line, committed to highest quality outcomes. In collaboration with Creighton University School of Medicine, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will establish a residency program, led by our Department Chair, Dr. Ranjan Gupta, in conjunction with a newly created Orthopaedic Center of excellence at CHI Health.
As a busy academic institution, Creighton University Medical Center - CHI Health boasts a number of additional opportunities including the opportunity to conduct research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine in its own biomechanic lab.
The establishment of an Orthopaedic Tumor Division will be an integral part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery integrating medical students and residents in a rich teaching environment.
The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with clinical focus on Oncologic pathology with additional skills in fracture repair, soft tissue management, nerve repair and arthroscopy. In addition, the candidate should have a strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research.
