Seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our team at a state-of-the-art hospital that offers advanced heart treatments, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Watchman procedures. Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cardiovascular surgeries, including TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), Watchman procedures, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repairs, and heart transplantation.
- Diagnose and treat patients with complex cardiovascular diseases and conditions, including aortic stenosis, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and coronary artery disease.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options, risks, and recovery processes related to cardiovascular surgery and procedures.
- Collaborate with the cardiology team in the implementation of innovative treatments like TAVR and Watchman devices for patients with atrial fibrillation and aortic valve disease.
- Participate in on-call duties and provide emergency care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery, ensuring evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
- Provide mentorship and training to residents and fellows, contributing to the education of the next generation of cardiovascular specialists.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
- Extensive experience in performing cardiovascular surgeries, including TAVR and Watchman procedures.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgery.
Preferred Skills:
- Fellowship training or advanced specialization in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgery.
- Experience with minimally invasive techniques and robotic-assisted surgery.
- Experience in managing complex cases of cardiovascular diseases.
Compensation:
- Salary: 305,000-405,000 Per year
