Surgery

Coverage Needed:

• ASAP - ongoing
• Schedule: 7a - 7a

Clinical Details:

• Work alongside attending Cardiothoracic Surgeons (CTS) in the OR only (1st assist); call for OR only, no office duties, with OR call back if needed
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 10 outpatient; 5-8 inpatient
• Vein harvesting required
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: Multidisciplinary team including cardiovascular surgeons, nursing staff, and cardiac rehab staff
• Required Duties: Assist in Surgery, Write Prescriptions, Rounding, Order Tests, Pre-Op Physical Exams, Suture Removal, Vein Harvesting

Requirements:

• Active Indiana license
• NCCPA certification required for PA; AANP certification required for NP
• Experience in Maquet Vein Harvesting
• Must have proof of COVID-19 vaccine
• NP must be able to do first assist
• Local candidates - Highly Preferred
• Will not accept new graduates; preference for experienced NP with CTS knowledge/skills including office, bedside and OR
