Locums - Mason City, Iowa, General Surgery Opening (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role:

•  ASAP - Ongoing Need
•  Clinic Days: Monday - Friday
•  Clinic Hours: 8a-5p
•  On Call
•  Inpatient Responsibilities: Rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, OR
•  Job Responsibilities: Clinical, Surgical, Endoscopy, Trauma/General Surgery Call
•  Number of Physician: 2 Physicians
•  Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 3
•  Supervision of APPs
•  Nursing Support/Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 clinical staff per Physician
•  Ancillary Staff per provider: 2 receptionists
•  Number of Exam Rooms per provider: 2 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms
•  Medical Imaging
•  Pharmacy
•  Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults, current Avg hospital census 160 pts/day
•  Appointment Length: 15-60min depending on new consult, procedure, follow-up etc.
•  Patient Population/Demographics: Hub Hospital, Serve 16 surrounding counties, Population 200,000 +
•  EMR: GE Centricity for clinic (currently); Cerner Powerchart for hospital (unit EPIC)
•  New services: Davinci Robot and additional robot plan in place
•  Services offered in the practice:
•  Clinic consults, follow-up, procedures
•  Outreach
•  Surgical (laparoscopic, open, robotic)
•  Endoscopy
•  Trauma Call Coverage
•  Board Certified - Required (will accept new grads)
•  Active IA License or Active IMLC - Required
•  Must be available full time - Required
