Contract Length: Ongoing

Shift Details: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Schedule:

• 3 nights per week, typically sometime between Wednesday-Saturday night
• Open to utilizing your work availability hours

Work Details:

• Support Staff: Other APPs on service; in OR there will be RNs, Care Management, and General Surgery Residents
• Coverage Needed per Month: 12-14 shifts per month
• Patients per Day: 10-15
• Patient Population/Age: 18+ years old
• Department Description: If there s a person in the ER going to the OR, they ll get their patient information prepared. They have the OR doc s numbers to call in if needed.
• EMR: Cerner
• Skills Required:
  • Comfortable with surgical pathology, covering patients admitted to the hospital overnight, and handling new consults from the ER or inpatient.
  • Responding to nursing calls, completing night surgery notes for late admissions, and responding to urgent codes on surgical patients.
  • Must be comfortable with basic skills like nose gauze and handle independently.

Requirements:

• State License: Maryland
• Board Certification: Required
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: Yes
• Certifications: ACLS
• Minimum Experience: 1 year with consult experience

Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days
