New Trauma Surgery Locums Job l Metro Atlanta, Georgia

Seeking Coverage: ASAP and ongoing for 3-6 months

Shifts needing to be covered:
- In-house shifts each month (24 hour shifts)
- Back up shifts each month (24 hour shifts)
- Number of shifts per month TBD

Details/Requirements for Assignment :
- Must have active Georgia license and Board Certification in General Surgery and Critical Care
- Hospital is level II trauma
- Physician will respond to all calls through the ED and will perform emergency surgery and rounding
- When on restricted call you're in-house the entire shift. It's a busy service.
- Unrestricted call is backup to the trauma surgeon and is not required to be in-house.
- 2-5 traumas when on call
- Census average is 25-30 patients daily
- 388 bed hospital
- EMR Cerner
- Funding is approved through October currently, possibility to extend
- Midlevel support available night & day
- You will primarily cover Trauma Surgery but do General Surgery cases on Wednesdays
