Schedule: Dailycoverage with 24-hour call
KeyResponsibilities - First assist in Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve replacement surgeries
- Retrieve vascular tissues (e.g., saphenous vein, radial artery) for use as bypass conduits
- Perform endoscopic or open vein harvesting as required
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient management, including rounding and consults
- Participate in emergency and urgent surgical interventions as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical and intensive care teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements - Board Certified PA-C (NCCPA)
- Active South Carolina Physician Assistant license
- BLS certification
- 3-5+ years of Cardiovascular Surgery first assist experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and proficiency in CABG and valve surgical support
- Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
