This is anexcellent opportunity to work in a collaborative cardiovascular and thoracicsurgery environment providing care across the continuum-from pre-operativeassessment to post-operative management.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Assist in CVTS procedures in the operating room
  • Manage pre-op and post-op patients in both ICU and step-down units
  • Perform procedures such as chest tube placement/removal, wound care, and invasive line management
  • Conduct daily patient rounds, enter orders, and collaborate closely with attending surgeons
  • Support all aspects of inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgical care

  • Average Cases/Day: 2-3
  • Operating Rooms Dedicated to CVTS: 3
  • EMR Systems Used: Epic & Cupid

Requirements:
  • Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Florida license
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
  • Strong familiarity with surgical post-op management and ICU protocols
