Job Opportunity: NP/PA - Surgery - Neuroendovascular

Join a leading healthcare facility in Detroit, Michigan, as an NP/PA for urgent Neuroendovascular needs. This role is set in a level 1 trauma center with a comprehensive stroke designation, providing the ideal environment for advanced clinical practice. The team prioritizes quality patient care and is looking for someone to step in while permanent staff is recruited.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-house coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. with weekend shifts every 4th week.
  • Engage in rounding, consultations, and postoperative care for surgical patients.
  • Manage on average 10 patients per day, utilizing an EMR system (eCare/Cerner).
  • Handle simple procedures such as minor laceration repairs.
  • Work autonomously with the support of a supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7.
  • No OR or first assist duties required.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) - REQUIRED
  • Active Michigan license - REQUIRED
  • Clean background check - REQUIRED
  • BLS, ENLS, and NIHSS certifications - REQUIRED
  • Availability for 2-3 shifts a week or more - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Michigan state license
  • Board certification from an accredited body (AANP, AANC, NCCPA)
  • BLS, ENLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Verbal confirmation of a Michigan addressed DEA
