Job Responsibilities:
- Provide surgical care and consults for inpatients as part of the general surgery team.
- Respond to call duties via beeper with a required response time of 30 minutes.
- Participate in rounding on hospital patients.
- Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical protocols and best practices within the surgical field.
- Participate in on-call shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in General Surgery (or eligibility).
- Completion of a fellowship in a relevant surgical specialty.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license (temporary privileges may be available).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Physician License (temporary privileges may be available).
- Board Certification required.
