UCHealth is looking to add two additional locum providers to their Neuroendovascular team. Providers must be skilled in both open cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular procedures. The primary responsibility is to handle thrombectomies and clippings to avoid patient transfers, with a strong emphasis on surgery.
Details:- Providers must cover specific open dates in August.- The schedule involves 24-hour call shifts (7 AM - 7 AM).- A preference for neurosurgeons with endovascular capabilities.- Neuro interventional radiologists will not be accepted.- 100% adult focus and 50% trauma, with all work being inpatient.- Expected surgery volume varies; comfort with open endovascular procedures is necessary.- EMR system used is Epic.- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days.
Support Staff:- Dedicated CNS available on weekdays.- General Neurosurgery APPs available at night for general staff questions.- New consults managed by a call neuroendovascular surgeon.
Travel Requirements:- Full travel coverage is provided, adhering to caps.- Flights, lodging, car rental, and mileage are reimbursed as per guidelines.- Other expenses such as fuel for rental cars, tolls, parking, and baggage fees are covered.
Submission Requirements:- Board Certification in Neurological Surgery (ABNS, NES) is required.- An active CO license or IMLC is mandatory.- ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and DEA certifications are necessary.- A clean background or limited malpractice history is a prerequisite.- Must be COVID vaccinated.- Providers must agree to a heavy surgical emphasis.
