This position involves workingclosely with the thoracic surgery team to deliver high-quality care to adultpatients in both pre-operative and operative settings.

Theschedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with no weekend or on-callrequirements, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
In this role, you will assist in thoracic surgical procedures within theoperating room and conduct pre-operative assessments and testing for surgicalpatients. Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcareprofessionals will be essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Post-operative care and management of follow-ups will also be part of yourresponsibilities. Accurate and thorough documentation of patient care andtreatment plans in the Epic EMR system is required.

Qualifications:

Thoracic surgery experience in the operatingroom and pre-op testing is required. (New graduates will not be considered.)

ACLS and BLS certifications.

Board certification as a Physician Assistant.

NCCPA certification.

Active and unrestricted Michigan statemedical license.

Expertise in thoracic surgery techniques andprocedures, strong clinical decision-making abilities, and familiarity withEpic EMR.
