• Mid-level in Practice: NP who does first assist in OR, rounds IP & completes discharges.

• Support Staff: Surgical techs in OR, Transplant Administrator, Transplant Coordinators (all BSNs), Transplant Multidisc team as required by CMS; NP available (IP)

• Duties:
- Transplant Call, screening/accepting/declining deceased donor kidneys
- Collaborate w/ the on-call Transplant Coordinator to bring transplant candidate in for potential transplant
- Rounding on transplant patients in the hospital less than 90 days from transplant in collaboration w/ the Transplant Nephrologist.
- Collaborate w/ IP staff, Tx Nephrologist & Tx NP can assist w/ IP throughput (Transplant admin & coordinators can assist in navigating transplant candidate throughout. Coordinators call patients in for transplants but do not triage sick calls on acute transplant.

• Required Procedures:
- Kidney Transplant w/o Recipient Nephrectomy
- Preferred: Lap donor nephrectomy

• Trauma Level: I

• EMR: Epic

• Other Info:
- Locum is welcome to attend the weekly Selection Committee meeting.
- Locum does not need to supervise NP.

Requirements:

• VT License

• BC/BE

• ASTS Certified (Transplant Surgery)

• BLS, ACLS
