LocumsNeurosurgery Physician Assistant A well-establishedneurosurgery team in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking an experienced PhysicianAssistant for a locum tenens opportunity. This role offers consistent 12-hourday shifts supporting a high-volume neurosurgical service. The ideal candidatewill have previous neurosurgery experience and strong first assist skills.
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7 days per week
Responsibilities: - Perform first assist duties in the OR on a PRN basis
- Support neurosurgical consults and patient management
- Respond to floor calls and assist with staffing-related clinical questions
- Prescription writing, order entry, and care coordination
- Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and interdisciplinary teams
- Average of 12 consults per day
Requirements: - Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Prior experience in Neurosurgery
- First Assist experience
- Active North Carolina PA license
- North Carolina DEA license
